Geomarine have begun work for a new Tanker Inlet Facility (TIF) in Bellozanne Valley. The works are part of a larger project to construct the new Sewage Treatment Works at Bellozanne. As well as constructing the TIF as a standalone project, Geomarine have entered into a partnership with principal contractor NMCN for the three year, £58 million project and will be delivering piling works, rock stabilisation, installation of underground pipework up to 800mm in diameter, and hard landscaping.
The new treatment works are being constructed while the existing one remains operational. The sewage treatment process then transfers over to the new works, which require temporary over pumping, in what is a complex infrastructure project.
